Sprague Freshman Basketball

Sprague Basketball Incoming 9th Grade Letter

Parents,

Hello! My name is Jordan Graneto and I am the varsity boys basketball coach at Sprague High School. The purpose of this letter is to inform you of upcoming open gyms, tryouts, and summer league information for incoming freshmen that are planning on trying out for basketball at Sprague High School.

The following information are important dates and times going forward if your child is interested in playing basketball at Sprague:
1. Open Gyms (Open to all incoming freshman): Open gyms are a chance for your child to play against high school players from Sprague High School. It is essentially an “open scrimmage” where anyone can join and play. Because of school getting out later at the middle schools if it is possible for you to come and join us half way through the open gym that is perfectly fine. – Dates: Every Tuesday and Thursday starting April 16th and ending May 21st – Time: 3-5 PM @ Sprague High School ● Note if it is raining we may have to cancel open gym due to our baseball teams needing to use the facilities for practice.
2. Training Camp (Open to all incoming freshman): This is an opportunity for your incoming freshman to be coached by the Sprague Basketball coaching staff before tryouts. – Dates: May 23rd and May 24th – Time: 5-6:30 PM @ Sprague High School
3. Summer League Tryouts: These will be two hour tryouts and we will make our summer league freshman roster after the second day of tryouts. – Dates: May 28th and May 29th – Time: 5-7 PM
If your child is selected for the freshman summer league team we will give him a finalized copy of the summer league schedule for the month of June. Please email me if you have any questions. Thanks!
